PLATE 03

NAVY 6.60 · the mid-size model of the range

The 6.60
in three lines

The NAVY 6.60 is the RIB that took the place of the 7.00 in the NAVY price list of 9 September 2026: it sits between the 6.00 and the 7.60, and its list price is from €28,800 + VAT · engine not included, or €35,136.00 incl. 22% Italian VAT. Its tubes are in ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo, 1.3 mm Hypalon-neoprene, and we build it to order, one boat at a time, in about three months from order confirmation.

The 6.60 is new to the price list, and so we will tell you things exactly as they stand. The data sheet with the final dimensions, the number of people, the maximum power and the design category is being updated: we send it on request. We would rather give you the right numbers than numbers taken from another model, which is why on this page you will not find lengths, weights or horsepower copied from the old 7.00 or from a neighbouring NAVY. What already holds today, and what we put in black and white, is the standard specification shared by every NAVY up to the 7.60, the tube fabric, the fibreglass, the sample-book colours and the public list price.

If you have asked us for a 6.50, a 6.80 or a 7.00, this is the boat we are talking about: those sizes no longer exist in the current price list, and anyone who asks for them is offered the NAVY 6.60. The rest we tell you on board, samples in hand, and we put it in writing in the quote, item by item, before you sign anything.

PLATE 04 — The size in the middle · Naviglia vision

There are six NAVY RIBs: the NAVY 4.80, NAVY 5.50, NAVY 6.00, NAVY 6.60, NAVY 7.60 and NAVY 9.50 Cabin. The 6.60 sits exactly where the range changes pace. Up to the 6.00 are the boats for which we also recommend the 40 hp outboard, the choice of those who go out without a licence within 6 nautical miles of the Italian coast, below the legal threshold of 30 kW (40.8 hp) set by Italian law and within its displacement limits; from the 7.60 upwards are the boats for long days at sea and for those who bring plenty of people. The 6.60 is the first size above the threshold up to which we recommend the 40 hp: the boat for those who want something more than the 6.00 without going all the way to the 7.60.

Chapter 01 — The tubes

A French fabric,
glued by hand

ORCA Pennel & Flipo, Hypalon-neoprene (CSM/CR) · 1.3 mm

The tubes of the 6.60 are made of ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo, the French company that produces it, with more than 100 years of experience behind it. It is a Hypalon-neoprene: a CSM rubber on the outside and a CR rubber on the inside, laid over a polyester core, with a tensile strength of more than 500 daN per 5 cm. From the 4.80 to the 7.60 the NAVY fabric is 1.3 mm thick, and the 6.60 falls within that range. It is not PVC: the outer CSM layer resists weathering, fading, ageing and abrasion, and the inner neoprene layers keep the air in and the water out.

The workmanship is the same on every NAVY. The fabric is cut by hand or by computer-controlled cutting, the panels are bonded with two-component adhesives, and the critical joints get double or triple manual welds. Before a tube goes onto the hull we pressure-test it and inspect it by eye, one by one. There are three standard colours, Deep Night, White Stone and Navy Blue (Notte Profonda, Pietra Bianca and Blu Navy in the catalogue); the other colours in the ORCA sample book are chosen together with the boat.

Chapter 02 — The fibreglass

White or black,
with increased thickness

Hull · deck · stern platforms · console · marine gelcoat

On the 6.60, as on every NAVY, the hull, the deck, the stern platforms and the console are fibreglass, with increased thickness. Lamination is done by hand or by infusion, and on top there is marine gelcoat, the glossy surface you see and that meets the water. The moulds are designed by Italian engineers. We do not give you a figure in millimetres for the fibreglass, and that is deliberate: we would rather not write numbers we cannot show you on a real cross-section.

The fibreglass comes in two colours, white or black, and the colour applies to the hull, inside and out. The marine gelcoat protects the hull from UV rays, the weather and abrasion, and keeps its surface glossy over time. Which one you prefer, you will see on the samples, in real daylight, before you confirm the order.

Chapter 03 — The deck

Synthetic teak
or real teak

EVA foam in 24 shades · solid natural teak on request

The deck of a NAVY comes in two versions. The first is synthetic teak in EVA foam, stain-resistant and non-slip: it needs no oiling and no sanding, a rinse is enough to clean it, and it stands up to UV rays and salt. The NAVY series sample book has 24 shades of it, from T-01 to T-24, with contrasting seams in black or grey. The second is solid natural teak, 8 to 12 mm thick, for those who want real wood, with its warm grain ranging from golden yellow to bronze.

On the 6.60 we define the deck together with the quote: the specific equipment of the model is being updated, and we quote the options on request, item by item. The same goes for special requests, from space for diving cylinders to a relocated console: tell us how you use the boat and we will tell you what can be done.

Chapter 04 — The upholstery

Smooth as standard,
quilted on request

Standard upholstery fitted as standard · Lusso line on request · 14 colours

The upholstery fitted as standard on the 6.60 is the Standard line, in smooth marine leatherette: hard-wearing, easy to clean and treated against UV rays, salt water and mould. Above it sits the Lusso line, diamond-quilted with heat-sealed stitching, stain-resistant and mould-resistant: on every NAVY up to the 7.60 it is an option, and you will find its price for the 6.60 in the quote. The Lusso line comes in 14 colours, from Deep Night to Navy Blue, from Light Cream to Burnt Honey, from Smoke Grey to Coral Red.

Upholstery is what you touch most, and that is why we have you choose it in person. The sample in your hand, next to the colour of the tubes and the shade of the deck, tells you in a second what a picture cannot: whether the combination is warm or cool, whether tan works better with white or with black, whether cream can cope with children and sun cream. In the photograph in this chapter you see the logo stamped on the tobacco-coloured leatherette, on board our 7.60.

Chapter 05 — The stern and the engine

The right engine,
chosen together

Honda · Yamaha · Mercury · engine not included in the list price

The 6.60 is sold with or without an engine. The outboard is not included in the list price because we do not impose one: Honda, Yamaha or Mercury, you choose the make, and we choose the power together, according to how many people you carry, how far you go and how you like to handle the boat. Then we quote it together with the boat, so you have the final figure in front of you. If you already have an engine of your own, we assess the pairing on the model: we need the details from its rating plate.

On the licence, the rule is simple and we state it in full. Under Italian law, within 6 nautical miles of the coast no boating licence is needed if the engine does not exceed 30 kW, that is 40.8 hp, and stays within the displacement limits set by law; beyond 6 miles a licence is always required. With the 40 hp we recommend boats up to 6 metres: for the 6.60 we propose the engine with the quote, and with an engine above that threshold a licence is required. The photograph in this chapter is the stern of our 7.60 with the Honda 250, the boat we use for sea trials.

PLATE 10 — The engine options for the 6.60

Three makes,
the choice is yours

The outboards we fit to the NAVY range are Honda, Yamaha and Mercury. The engine is not included in the list price and is chosen separately, and we quote it together with the model you choose. We tell you how things really are on the water, which power makes sense for the use you have in mind and which does not; the make remains your choice, and none of them comes before the others.

The three photographs come from our 7.60: the stern platform, the Honda 250 between the two swim platforms, the retractable stainless ladder. On the 6.60 we quote the engine together with the boat, whichever make you choose.

What the price of the 6.60 includes

Five items,
all standard

On NAVY RIBs up to the 7.60 the standard equipment follows a precise formula, and the 6.60 follows it too: it is the five items below, included in the list price. Everything else, from accessories to personal touches, we put in writing in the quote with its figure alongside, so you always know what you are paying for and why.

  • Console complete with gauges: the wheel, the instruments, the switches, everything in its place
  • Roll bar with navigation lights: to come home at ease even when the sun goes down
  • Swim platforms: the platforms at the stern, for getting into and out of the water
  • Steel stern ladder: for a swim, even for those without a swimmer's arms
  • Standard upholstery: the Standard line in smooth marine leatherette; the quilted Lusso line is an option
Naviglia vision: the bow of a NAVY with the stainless steel anchor, the chain and the windlass on the teak-effect deck
FIG. 07 — Naviglia vision: a styling detail of the NAVY series, the bow roller with the stainless anchor. What to fit at the bow of your 6.60, we write in the quote.

We quote the options and accessories for the 6.60 on request, item by item, in the quote. The data sheet is being updated, and the details are available on request. And if you want the boat turnkey, here is what we mean. It means receiving the boat ready to go to sea: hull with the standard fit-out, outboard, console with wheel and steering, electrical system with battery, battery isolator switch and navigation lights, fuel tank, upholstery, ladder and bilge pump. Tell us which model you have in mind and what kind of outings you make: we prepare the complete costing, if you wish with the most suitable engine too, so you have the final figure in front of you straight away.

PLATE 13

The public list price · NAVY 6.60

What it
really costs

from €28,800 + VAT · engine not included

€35,136.00 incl. 22% Italian VAT

The list price of the NAVY 6.60 is from €28,800 + VAT · engine not included, which comes to €35,136.00 incl. 22% Italian VAT. The price is net: it is quoted excluding VAT and without the engine, which is chosen separately according to how you intend to use the boat. The price includes the standard equipment you have just read about. A NAVY can be bought with or without an engine: we quote the engine together with the boat, so you have the final figure in front of you before you decide.

Payment comes in three steps: a deposit on order confirmation, stage payments during production, and the balance on delivery, by bank transfer. The documents are the deposit invoice, the sales contract and the delivery report. The boat can be financed, including with nautical leasing; we are glad to assess a part exchange for your used boat, and to give you a serious figure we need the year, where the boat is kept and a few photographs of the tubes, the deck and the engine.

We build the 6.60 to order: about three months from order confirmation. We deliver to the port you tell us or straight to your home, anywhere in Italy, and the transport cost is written in the quote. We handle the sale directly from Aprilia (LT): you do not need to look for anyone in your area, everything goes through us, from configuration to delivery. And on every NAVY we offer up to 15 years of warranty.

PLATE 14

The colours of your 6.60 · NAVY series sample book

29 tube colours, 2 hull colours,
14 for the upholstery

The 6.60 is new to the price list, and the printed catalogue has not yet given it a page of ready-made combinations: the colours are chosen from the general plates of the NAVY series, which are the ones below, and we define the combination together on the real samples. The ORCA fabric tubes come in 29 sample-book colours, three of which are standard: Deep Night, White Stone and Navy Blue. The others range from the greys, Concrete Grey, Soft Lead and Smoke Grey, to warm colours such as Safari Cream, Summer Sunset and Coral Red, and on to the blues of the sea, Blue Lagoon, Living Ocean and Sapphire Blue. The fibreglass is white or black.

The synthetic EVA teak deck comes in 24 shades; the upholstery is chosen between the Standard line, in smooth marine leatherette, and the diamond-quilted Lusso line, in 14 colours. Put four choices together, tubes, fibreglass, deck and cushions, and the same boat changes character: a black 6.60 with Deep Night tubes and tan upholstery is a different boat from a white 6.60 with White Stone tubes and grey.

Who the 6.60 is for

Three choices,
one boat

People buy the 6.60 for three different reasons, depending on who they are and how they go to sea. They are the three conversations we have most often with those who ask us about the size in the middle of the range. The images in this section are styling details of the NAVY series: the fit-out of your 6.60 is yours to put together.

Moving up from the 6.00

One step up,
not a leap

Some people have tried the 6.00 and feel something is missing: the family grows, friends ask to come along, the days out get longer. The 7.60, though, is another boat, in size and in price. The 6.60 sits in between on purpose. The materials stay those of every NAVY, the 1.3 mm ORCA tubes and the fibreglass with increased thickness; what changes is the size. How much more space you have on board compared with the 6.00, we show you with the full data sheet in hand, and on the samples you choose everything else.

Looking for the 7.00

The name has changed,
the question has not

Many people arrive here looking for the old 7.00, or a 6.80, or a 6.50. In the price list of 9 September 2026 those sizes are gone: in their place is the NAVY 6.60, and it is the boat we offer to anyone who asks for them. We will not tell you they are the same boat, because the 6.60 data sheet is still being updated and we do not attribute the data of the 7.00 to the 6.60. Instead we tell you what holds today: the list price, the standard specification, the materials, the lead time. The rest we check together, in person.

Living far away

Wherever you are,
the boat comes to you

You do not need to live near Aprilia (LT) to buy a 6.60. We deliver to the port you tell us or straight to your home, and the transport cost is written in the quote; we also handle delivery to Sardinia ourselves, taking care of everything that is needed. We follow the configuration ourselves from start to finish, and if you want to see the materials before you decide, we invite you to touch them in person. Then the 6.60 arrives where you go to sea, with the engine you have chosen.

Questions about the 6.60

Frequently asked questions

The questions you ask us about this model, with the answers we give in person: price, dimensions, the old 7.00, tubes, licence, equipment, lead times. One at a time: open one and the other closes.

How much does the NAVY 6.60 cost?

The list price of the NAVY 6.60 is from €28,800 + VAT · engine not included, which comes to €35,136.00 incl. 22% Italian VAT. The engine is chosen separately, from Honda, Yamaha and Mercury, and we quote it together with the boat, so you have the final figure in front of you. The price of the 6.60 includes the standard equipment: console with gauges, roll bar with navigation lights, swim platforms, steel stern ladder and standard upholstery.

Is the NAVY 6.60 the old 7.00?

In the NAVY price list of 9 September 2026 the 7.00 no longer appears, and the NAVY 6.60 has taken its place: anyone who asks us for a 7.00, a 6.80 or a 6.50 is offered the 6.60. We do not attribute the technical data of the old 7.00 to the 6.60: the 6.60 data sheet is being updated and we send it on request, with its own numbers.

What are the dimensions of the NAVY 6.60?

The dimensions of the NAVY 6.60, that is length overall, beam, tube diameter, people on board, maximum power and weight, are in the technical data sheet being updated, and we send the data sheet on request. We would rather send you the right numbers for the 6.60 than write figures here taken from another NAVY model.

What tubes does the NAVY 6.60 have?

The NAVY 6.60 has tubes in ORCA Pennel & Flipo, Hypalon-neoprene (CSM/CR) fabric, 1.3 mm thick like every NAVY from the 4.80 to the 7.60. They are bonded with two-component adhesives, with double or triple welds at the critical joints, and every tube is pressure-tested before it goes onto the hull. The standard colours are Deep Night, White Stone and Navy Blue.

Do you need a boating licence for the NAVY 6.60?

It depends on the engine, not on the boat. Under Italian law, within 6 nautical miles of the coast no licence is needed if the outboard does not exceed 30 kW, that is 40.8 hp, and stays within the legal displacement limits; beyond 6 miles a licence is always required. With the 40 hp we recommend boats up to 6 metres: for the NAVY 6.60 we propose the engine with the quote, and above that threshold a licence is required.

What is standard on the NAVY 6.60?

The NAVY 6.60 follows the standard specification of NAVY RIBs up to the 7.60: console complete with gauges, roll bar with navigation lights, swim platforms, steel stern ladder and standard upholstery. The quilted Lusso upholstery is an option. We quote the other options for the 6.60 on request, item by item, in the quote.

How long does it take to get a NAVY 6.60?

The NAVY 6.60 is built to order: it takes about three months from order confirmation, as for every made-to-measure NAVY up to the 7.60. For the following season it pays to confirm the order early, so you secure your place in production. We do not promise dates we cannot keep: we tell you how things really stand on the day of the order.

How is a NAVY built? What tubes does it have? How many years of warranty?

We build every boat to measure, one at a time, with no assembly line. From the 4.80 to the 7.60 the tubes are in ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo, 1.3 mm Hypalon-neoprene; on the NAVY 9.50 Cabin, too, the tubes are ORCA by Pennel & Flipo in Hypalon-neoprene. The hulls are fibreglass with increased thickness. We are so confident in our work that we offer up to 15 years of warranty.
