04The camera passes through the windscreen and the helm falls away behind.

Black tubes, a carbon hard-top, the aft sunpad over the engines, which in this vision are twin silver Honda BF350s. The NAVY is born
line by line

First the line: 9.80 metres from bow to stern

SIDE VIEW · LENGTH OVERALL 9.80 M · BEAM 3.20 M

Every NAVY starts with a line: the sweep of the tubes, the hull, the helm position. The moulds are designed by Italian engineers and designers. Here the 9.50 is drawn in front of you, side-on, and then gives way to the boat under way, by day.

The wheel on the right, the cabin door on the left

Under the hard-top, the black dashboard with its two screens and the wheel, on the right. On the left, the sliding door: it slides into the console, and the steps lead down to the cabin, with berths and a separate heads. Behind the helm seats, the outdoor galley faces the cockpit.

Overhead, a hard-top of 2.50 by 3.70 metres

THE BOW · QUILTED CHAISE LONGUE · WINDSCREEN · HARD-TOP

At first light the drawing starts again from the bow: the quilted chaise longue, the windscreen, the helm under the hard-top and, aft, the sunpad. Then the line becomes the boat, at dawn.

DESIGN CATEGORY B · UP TO 15 PEOPLE · from €86,900 + VAT · engine not included

The last line closes at the stern, on the sunpad over the engines: in the vision, twin silver Honda BF350s. You choose the make from Honda, Yamaha and Mercury; we settle the power together, when we prepare the quote.

This RIB
carries our name

Naviglia Yachts is an Italian boating brand. It belongs to Michelessi Corporation Srl and does one thing, all the way: it designs and fits out the NAVY RIBs and sells them directly to the people who will use them. The hull, the deck, the aft platforms and the console are in fibreglass with increased thickness, white or black; the tubes are in ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo, Hypalon-neoprene, in the colour you choose. The engine is not included in the price because we do not impose one: Honda, Yamaha or Mercury, you decide the power and the make, and your NAVY can also be ordered without one. We do not build stock series for the warehouse: every RIB is built to order, one at a time, and carries the choices of the person who wanted it, from the decking underfoot to the logo embroidered on the upholstery.

You buy with no middlemen. Direct sales: from configuration to delivery the customer deals with Naviglia Yachts in Aprilia (Latina), with no local dealers in between. First the right size for the way you use the sea, then the configuration, then a written quote, line by line. At the end your NAVY arrives at the harbour you name or at your home, ready to go out. The person who advised you on the first day is the same person who answers you after delivery: that is what direct sales means. Up to 15 years' warranty.

NAVY 7.60 at anchor on the right, beach with parasols and a granite mountain behind

PLATE 08 — Sardinia, in summer · real photograph

The granite runs down into the scrub, the scrub runs down into the water. The NAVY 7.60 lies at anchor, its bimini furled and the outboard at rest. Behind it, the beach, the white houses and the rock face; across the dark water stretches the pale reflection of the hull. No set: just an ordinary day for someone who owns a NAVY.

PLATE 09 — The brands on board

We design and fit out the NAVY ourselves.
The rest is signed by the best.

The design, the moulds and the fit-out of every NAVY are ours: the moulds are drawn by Italian engineers and designers. For what drives the boat, holds the air and keeps the course, we choose people who have done it all their lives: the outboards we power the NAVY range with, the tube fabric, the helm electronics. You choose the engine make, and we quote it together with the boat: so the final figure is there in front of you.

PLATE 10 — Brand 01 · Outboards

Four-stroke,
from day one

Outboards · four-stroke · from BF40 to BF350

Honda's first four-stroke outboard dates from 1964 and was called the GB30: it has never changed course since, and from 1985 the entire Honda range has been four-stroke. In 2024 Honda Marine turned sixty. It is the engine in our real photographs of the NAVY 7.60 in Sardinia, and the one you see on the stern of the NAVY 6.00: a BF100.

On a NAVY the power is chosen according to how you use the sea. Anyone without a boating licence starts from the 40 hp, which we recommend up to 6 metres: Italian law allows it within 6 miles of the coast, with an engine of up to 30 kW (40.8 hp) and within the displacement limits; those who carry family and friends move up in power along with the size of the hull. We quote the engine together with the boat, fitted and tested.

In brief

I
In 2001 Honda built the world's first 225 hp four-stroke outboard.
II
In 2023 it presented its first V8, the BF350, at the Genoa Boat Show.
III

Born where the sea
is a trade

Outboards · four-stroke · Helm Master EX

Yamaha Motor was founded on 1 July 1955 in Iwata, Japan, and cut its teeth on the toughest professional markets: inshore fishing, Africa, the Pacific. By 2013 it had already passed ten million outboards produced: that many engines out there means spare parts you can find and workshops that know them, in every harbour.

Yamaha is one of the outboard makes we fit, just as our tubes are in ORCA Pennel & Flipo fabric and our helm electronics come from Garmin. On the larger NAVY models it is often the choice of owners who want twin engines and assisted berthing: two outboards, one joystick, and the quayside stops being a worry.

In brief

PLATE 12 — Brand 03 · Outboards

From Wisconsin,
the thrust of the big ones

Outboards · four-stroke · Verado V10

Mercury was born on 22 January 1939, when Carl Kiekhaefer took over a bankrupt workshop in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, and put three hundred abandoned outboards back into working order. Today it is based in Fond du Lac and is a division of Brunswick Corporation. On the larger NAVY models it is the choice of those who want plenty of power with little weight at the stern.

On the NAVY 7.60 the engine set-up is decided together, when we prepare the quote: one engine or two, how much power, which propeller. The NAVY 9.50 Cabin always has twin outboards, and the power is set in the quote. We tell you how things really are on the water; the make remains your choice.

In brief

I
The 350 hp Verado V10 weighs 316 kg: on a RIB's transom, every kilo counts.
II
Joystick Piloting and Skyhook: berthing and holding station with one hand.
III

PLATE 13 — Brand 04 · Tubes

The fabric that
holds the air

Tube fabric · Hypalon-neoprene · 1.3 mm

ORCA is the brand of rubber-coated tube fabrics made by Pennel & Flipo, a company founded in 1924 in Roubaix. Today everything comes out of a single plant in Mouscron, Belgium: around one and a half million square metres of fabric a year. It is the skin of every NAVY, from the 4.80 to the 9.50.

From the NAVY 4.80 to the NAVY 7.60 the fabric is 1.3 mm. There are 29 colours in the catalogue: three as standard, Notte Profonda, Pietra Bianca and Blu Navy, the others on request. Every tube is glued by hand and pressure-tested before it goes onto the hull.

In brief

I
A single production site, in Mouscron: from the compound to the coating.
II
Hypalon-neoprene: it stands up to sun, salt and hydrocarbons better than PVC.

PLATE 14 — Brand 05 · Electronics

The course, the seabed,
the music

On-board electronics · chartplotter · echo sounder · VHF

Garmin was founded in 1989 by Gary Burrell and Min Kao: the name is a blend of their two names. The group includes Navionics charts, since 2017, and Fusion marine audio, since 2014. On the console of a NAVY that means a single screen for chart, seabed and music.

Electronics are not included in the list price because there is no single right set for everyone: those who go out on Sundays along the coast ask for a chartplotter and a VHF, those who make crossings want radar and an autopilot. We choose them together with you, model by model, and you find them written in the quote, line by line.

In brief

I
More than 23,000 employees in 37 countries: marine is one of the group's five markets.
II
Navionics and Fusion are group brands: charts and audio speak the same language as the chartplotter.
III
The electronics are chosen together with you, when we prepare the quote.

How you buy a NAVY

In four
steps

Direct sales: from configuration to delivery the customer deals with Naviglia Yachts in Aprilia (Latina), with no local dealers in between. There is nobody local to track down: everything comes back to us, from the first phone call to launch day.

Choosing the model

First the size,
then the rest

Advice on the right size, engine power and accessories, at the Aprilia showroom, by phone or by video call. Tell us how many people you carry, where you keep the boat and whether you hold a licence: the right size comes from there, not from the price list.

You understand a RIB in ten minutes at sea: how it meets the wave, how it turns, how dry it stays. You understand it at sea, not on a screen.

The questions you really ask us

Frequently asked questions

These are the questions that reach our office, with the answer we give over the phone: prices, VAT, engine, licence, lead times, delivery, part-exchange, warranty. One at a time: open one and the other closes.

How much does a NAVY RIB cost?

Prices start from: NAVY 4.80 from €13,924 + VAT (€16,987.28 incl. 22% VAT) · NAVY 5.50 from €15,900 + VAT (€19,398.00) · NAVY 6.00 from €17,987 + VAT (€21,944.14) · NAVY 6.60 from €28,800 + VAT (€35,136.00) · NAVY 7.60 from €33,000 + VAT (€40,260.00) · NAVY 9.50 Cabin from €86,900 + VAT (€106,018.00). All prices are without the engine. Tell us what size you have in mind and we will prepare the full figure for you.

Are the prices on the website inclusive or exclusive of VAT?

The prices you see on the website are net: they are exclusive of VAT and do not include the engine, which is chosen separately according to how you intend to use the boat. Next to every price you will also find the amount with 22% VAT already worked out.

Is the engine included in the price of the RIB?

No. The price of the RIB does not include the engine, because the engine is chosen to suit your needs: power, make, installation. If you wish, we will prepare the full figure for RIB plus engine straight away, with several engine options.

Which engine makes do you fit?

Honda, Yamaha and Mercury are the outboards we power the NAVY range with. You choose the make, together with the power.

Which RIB can I drive without a licence?

Under Italian law the licence depends on the engine, not on the boat: within 6 miles of the coast you do not need one if the engine does not exceed 30 kW (40.8 hp) and the displacement limits set by law (1,000 cc for a four-stroke outboard). Beyond 6 miles a licence is always required. A 40 hp engine can be fitted to the NAVY models between 4 and 6 metres: the 4.80, the 5.50 and the 6.00.

How long does it take from order to delivery?

For a boat in stock, within 7 working days. For a made-to-order RIB up to the 7.60, about three months from order confirmation. For the NAVY 9.50 Cabin, lead times are agreed together with the order confirmation.

Do you have a dealer in my area?

No: we handle every sale directly ourselves, from Aprilia. There is nobody local to track down: everything comes back to us, from configuration to delivery, anywhere in Italy.

Do you also deliver far from Aprilia, for example to Sardinia, Sicily or the northern lakes?

Yes. We deliver to the harbour you name or straight to your home, and the transport cost is written in the quote. We also handle delivery to Sardinia ourselves, taking care of everything required.

Will you take my RIB or boat in part-exchange?

We are glad to assess a used boat in part-exchange. To give you a serious figure we need the year, where the boat is kept and a few photographs: tubes, deck and engine, with the details from its rating plate.

Can it be customised? Colours, teak, cushions, special modifications?

Yes: we build boats to measure, so we are happy to take on modifications. You choose the hull colour (white or black), the tube colour, synthetic EVA teak or natural teak on request, and Standard or Luxury upholstery. With the 3D configurator you can put your boat together and send us the configuration. Special requests too, such as room for diving cylinders or a relocated console, we work out with our team.

How is a NAVY built? What tubes does it have? How many years of warranty?

We build every boat to order, one at a time, with no assembly line. From the 4.80 to the 7.60 the tubes are in ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo, 1.3 mm Hypalon-neoprene; the NAVY 9.50 Cabin also has ORCA tubes by Pennel & Flipo in Hypalon-neoprene. The hulls are in fibreglass with increased thickness. We are so confident in our work that we offer up to 15 years of warranty.
