Six sizes,
one way of building them

There are six NAVY RIBs: the NAVY 4.80, NAVY 5.50, NAVY 6.00, NAVY 6.60, NAVY 7.60 and NAVY 9.50 Cabin. Six sizes, not six different boats: the hull, the deck, the transom platforms and the console are always in fibreglass with increased laminate thickness, white or black; the tubes are always in ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo, Hypalon-neoprene, bonded with two-part adhesives and pressure-tested one by one. What changes from one size to the next is how many people you carry, how much fuel you need, which engine goes on the transom and how far you want to go.

On this page you will find the whole range, in order of size: first the line-up of the six cards with price, capacity and power, then the RIBs told family by family, then what they have in common, the prices, the licence rule and the questions you ask us every day. Each model has its own page with the technical data, the equipment and, for the 4.80, 5.50, 6.00, 7.60 and 9.50, the options with their list prices. The seventh name, the NAVY P40, is not a RIB and is not on sale yet: you will find it at the bottom of the page, in the shadows.

How to choose the size

Three families,
one question

The question we ask you on the phone, before any other, is always the same: how will you use the boat? From there the range sorts itself into three families. The first is made up of the RIBs under six and a half metres, the NAVY 4.80, NAVY 5.50 and NAVY 6.00: these are the sizes that, with a 40 hp outboard, can be driven without a boat licence within 6 nautical miles of the coast, within the limits of Italian law (30 kW, that is 40.8 hp, and the prescribed engine displacement). They carry from 6 to 10 people, weigh 300 or 600 kilos empty and have their own trailer on the price list: they are the NAVY boats for those who go out in the morning and come back in the evening, for those with a house by the sea and a spot on the beach, for those who want to start without any new paperwork.

The second family is the heart of the range: the NAVY 6.60 and the NAVY 7.60. Here the boat stops being a way to reach the beach and becomes a place to spend the day: the 7.60 carries up to 15 people, holds 280 litres of fuel, takes a single engine of up to 350 horsepower or twin engines, and has swim platforms at the stern with a folding ladder. It is the size we keep in the water for sea trials, with a 250 hp Honda: if you want to understand how a NAVY behaves when the wind gets up, this is the boat that shows you.

The third family is a single boat, the largest: the NAVY 9.50 Cabin, the flagship. It measures 9.80 metres overall by 3.20 in beam, carries up to 15 people, has design category B, two outboards on the transom and an interior cabin with berths and a separate heads. It is the RIB for those who bring family and friends aboard and want room for everyone. With it, the clock no longer decides when you head back to port: you sleep at anchor and come back when you feel like it.

FIG. 02 — Naviglia vision: the NAVY 6.00 seen from above, at anchor. With the 40 hp we recommend going up to the 6-metre model: it is the largest NAVY that can be driven without a licence, within 6 nautical miles and within the limits of Italian law.

The 7.60 is the size by which we measure all the others: it is the NAVY we keep in the water for trials and the one with the most options on the price list, 22 items each with its price written down. Its tubes are 52 centimetres in diameter.

One engine, or two

200/250 HP RECOMMENDED · SINGLE UP TO 350 HP · TWIN ENGINES POSSIBLE

On the 7.60 we recommend a single engine of 200 or 250 horsepower: with twin engines you lose the swim platforms at the stern. Honda, Yamaha or Mercury: the make is your choice.

From the 4.80 to the 7.60 the tubes are in ORCA Hypalon-neoprene by Pennel & Flipo, 1.3 millimetres thick, with the seams welded two or three times by hand where the tube works hardest.

Four sizes for those who want the sea without complicating their lives: three of them, with a 40 hp outboard, can be driven without a boat licence within 6 nautical miles of the coast, within the limits of Italian law (30 kW, that is 40.8 hp, and the prescribed engine displacement). All of them come as standard with the centre console, the roll bar with navigation lights, the steel stern ladder and the standard upholstery. The differences are made by the centimetres of beam, the litres in the fuel tank and the horsepower you can fit.

4.80 m RIB with centre console, up to 6 people; with a 40 hp outboard it may be used without a licence within 6 miles of the coast (Italian limit 30 kW / 40.8 hp). It is 4.80 metres long and 1.82 wide, with tubes 48 centimetres in diameter and 60 litres of fuel; it weighs 300 kilos empty, and it has its own 5-metre trailer on the price list. As standard it comes with the console complete with gauges, the steel roll bar with navigation lights, the folding stern ladder, full upholstery, teak-effect EVA decking, the automatic bilge pump and the repair kit. It is the NAVY where it all begins.

5.50 m RIB with centre console, up to 9 people, outboard up to 115 hp. Compared with the 4.80 it gains more than half a metre of beam, 2.35 metres against 1.82, and on a RIB beam means stability: you can stand up while fishing and move about aboard without asking anyone to shift. The fuel tank grows to 135 litres, the tubes to 50 centimetres, the capacity to 9 people. The standard equipment also adds the rear seat with cushion and steel backrest, the reinforced anchor locker and the foot pump. With the 40 hp it can be driven without a licence within 6 nautical miles, within the limits of Italian law; with the 115 hp, the maximum in the catalogue, it becomes a different boat.

6.00 × 2.50 m RIB, up to 10 people, outboard up to 150 hp; with a 40 hp outboard no licence is needed within 6 miles of the coast (Italian limit 30 kW / 40.8 hp). 6 metres by 2.50 of beam, tubes of 52 centimetres, 10 people, 135 litres of fuel and 600 kilos empty: the 6.00 marks the edge of the first family. With the 40 hp we recommend stopping here, and together with the 5.50 it is the size we suggest to anyone setting up a rental business or a boating school; with a 150 hp it becomes a RIB for long days out. It is also the model with the most options on the price list in the first family: bow table, courtesy lights, an extra helm seat with the console moved, quilted Luxury upholstery.

Every NAVY has a fibreglass hull with increased laminate thickness, hand-laid or infused and protected by marine gelcoat. From the 4.80 with its 40 hp to the 9.50 with its twin outboards, the material is the same; what changes is the size, the load and the horsepower on the transom.

PLATE 10

When the boat
becomes a home

Above seven metres the way you live aboard changes. The NAVY 7.60 comes as standard with the helm seat with grab rail and retractable table, the fibreglass roll bar with navigation lights, the swim platforms with the folding ladder and a 280-litre fuel tank: a whole day without thinking about fuel. On the price list it has 22 options, each with its price written down, from the fibreglass hard top to the steel-and-canvas T-top, from the full galley with sink, gas hob and fridge to the electric anchoring system with anchor, reinforcement and chain. It is the NAVY that gets configured the most, because it is the one that gets used the most.

From the NAVY 7.60 to the NAVY 9.50 Cabin the number of people does not change: 15 on one and 15 on the other. Everything else does. The length goes from 7.60 to 9.80 metres overall, the beam from 2.89 to 3.20, the fuel tank from 280 to 500 litres, the design category from C to B. On the 7.60 we recommend a single engine; on the 9.50 the configuration is twin outboards. Above all, the 9.50 has what no other NAVY has: a cabin to sleep in. On the 7.60 you spend the day at anchor; on the 9.50 you can stay the night as well.

The NAVY 9.50 Cabin is the only NAVY with a cabin: an interior cabin for sleeping, air conditioning, a heads with a black-water holding tank, a shower aboard. Above, a hard top measuring 2.50 by 3.70 metres over the helm; at the stern, the large sunpad above the outboard engines; at the bow, the chaise longue. The fuel tank holds 500 litres, the fresh-water tank 150. The configuration is twin outboards: we decide the power together, at the quote stage.

PLATE 14

What the six NAVY boats have in common

The same fabric,
the same fibreglass

The tubes of every NAVY are in ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo, a French company with more than 100 years of experience in technical fabrics: Hypalon-neoprene on a polyester base, with a tensile strength of over 500 daN per 5 centimetres. From the 4.80 to the 7.60 the thickness is 1.3 millimetres; on the NAVY 9.50 Cabin, too, the tubes are ORCA by Pennel & Flipo in Hypalon-neoprene. The fabric is cut by hand or by machine, bonded with two-part adhesives and, at the seams that work hardest, welded two or three times by hand. Before it is fitted, every tube passes a pressure test and a visual inspection. That is why a NAVY is not “a PVC RIB”: Hypalon-neoprene stands up to sun, salt and time in a way PVC does not, and the difference shows as the years go by.

The hull, the deck, the transom platforms and the console are in fibreglass with increased laminate thickness, hand-laid or infused, protected by marine gelcoat, in white or black. On top, the standard decking is teak-effect EVA, stain-resistant and non-slip, in 24 shades; solid natural teak from 8 to 12 millimetres thick is an option. The standard upholstery is the Standard, in smooth marine leatherette; the quilted, diamond-effect Luxury, in 14 colours, is an option up to the 7.60. The moulds are designed by Italian engineers and designers; Naviglia Yachts is an Italian brand, and every NAVY is fitted out and delivered from Aprilia (Latina).

Standard equipment, colours and engines

What comes with it,
what you choose

Standard
up to the 7.60

On the RIBs up to the 7.60, the standard equipment includes the console complete with gauges, the roll bar with navigation lights, the stern swim platforms, the steel rear ladder and the standard upholstery. To these are added, model by model, the teak-effect EVA decking, the fuel tank, the automatic bilge pump, the foot pump and the repair kit: the exact list, item by item, is on each model's page. The quilted Luxury upholstery is an option up to the 7.60. The NAVY 9.50 Cabin has a list all of its own, starting with the interior cabin with berths and a separate heads.

The colours
of the tubes

Three tube colours are standard on every model in the catalogue: Deep Night, White Stone and Navy Blue. The other 26 colours of the ORCA chart are chosen through the option “Tube colour change”, on the price list for the 4.80, 5.50, 6.00, 7.60 and 9.50. The fibreglass is white or black. The decking is chosen from 24 shades of teak-effect EVA, with matching plank and seam. On the 7.60 page the colour selector tints the boat in front of you on the real photographs; in person, in the showroom, you can touch the samples.

The engine
is your choice

The list price of every NAVY does not include the engine, and that is no sleight of hand: it is because we do not impose one. Honda, Yamaha and Mercury are the outboards we fit to NAVY boats, all three on an equal footing; you choose the make and the power, and we quote them together with the boat, so you have the final figure in front of you. The RIB is also sold without an engine, and if you already have an outboard we assess it against the chosen model, using its rating-plate data. The maximum power in the catalogue: up to 70-80 hp on the 4.80, up to 115 hp on the 5.50, up to 150 hp on the 6.00 and 200/250 hp recommended on the 7.60, with a single engine of up to 350; on the 9.50 Cabin the configuration is twin outboards and we decide the power together at the quote.

What they cost,
with no surprises

The prices you read here are those of the public price list, in the same form we use in our quotes: starting price, plus VAT, engine not included. Next to each one you will find the amount with Italian VAT at 22% already worked out, because that is the figure that really matters to you. The NAVY 4.80 starts from €13,924 + VAT · engine not included, that is €16,987.28 incl. 22% Italian VAT. The NAVY 5.50: from €15,900 + VAT · engine not included (€19,398.00 incl. 22% Italian VAT). The NAVY 6.00: from €17,987 + VAT · engine not included (€21,944.14 incl. 22% Italian VAT). The NAVY 6.60: from €28,800 + VAT · engine not included (€35,136.00 incl. 22% Italian VAT). What is included in the starting price you will find on each model's page, item by item; what is left out is always the same: the engine, which is chosen separately by power and make, and the trailer, which is an accessory with its own list price for the 4.80, the 5.50, the 6.00, the 7.60 and the 9.50, and on request for the 6.60. Options have their prices written down for the 4.80, 5.50, 6.00, 7.60 and 9.50; for the 6.60 they are quoted on request. We prepare your quote in writing, with every choice and the final figure in front of you. Payment comes in three steps: a deposit on order confirmation, stage payments during production, the balance on delivery, by bank transfer. The boat can be financed, including through marine leasing, and we assess your used boat as a trade-in.

PLATE 18

The 40 hp rule, under Italian law

Which NAVY
without a licence

In Italy the boat licence is tied to the engine, not to the boat. Within 6 nautical miles of the coast it is not required if the outboard does not exceed 30 kW, that is 40.8 horsepower, and the displacement limits set by Italian law; beyond 6 miles it is always required. That is why the 40 hp is the choice of those who do not hold a licence, and why a 40 hp does not go on just any size: with the 40 we recommend going up to the 6-metre model, that is the NAVY 4.80, NAVY 5.50 and NAVY 6.00. For licence-free rental we recommend the NAVY 5.50 or the NAVY 6.00 with the 40 hp.

Anyone setting up a rental business or a boating school already knows this: with an engine within the limits, the boat can be driven without a licence by whoever hires it, and for a fleet it pays to stick to a single make of engine. We prepare quotes made out to the company, for several boats too, with the transport written into the bill. Everything else, displacement, distances, what changes once you hold a licence, is in the guide.

How to buy a NAVY

Directly from us,
from the size to the launch

Direct sales: from configuration to delivery the customer deals with Naviglia Yachts in Aprilia (Latina), with no local dealers in between. You do not have to look for anyone in your area: everything goes through us, from the first phone call to delivery day, anywhere in Italy. We build every boat to order, one at a time, with no assembly line: a RIB up to the 7.60 takes about three months from order confirmation; for the 9.50 Cabin we set the lead times together on confirmation. If a boat is in stock, you receive it within 7 working days: ask us which NAVY boats are ready today, because it changes often. We deliver to the harbour you name or straight to your home, with the transport cost written into the quote, including Sardinia, Sicily and the lakes. The showroom is in Aprilia (Latina), between Rome and Latina; sea trials take place in Nettuno, by appointment; if you are far away, we start with a video call. Up to 15 years' warranty.

Three real films shot aboard the 7.60: the logo embossed on the quilted upholstery, the logo engraved in the teak-effect EVA decking, the stern sofa with its cup holders. These are things that get lost in a photograph and stay with you in person: that is why we invite you to step aboard.

Before choosing the size

The guides
you need

Six short reads, written with real numbers, to help you reach your choice of size with a clear head: what goes into the cost of a RIB beyond the hull, when Italian law requires a licence, how much power a given size and load needs, why the tubes are in Hypalon-neoprene and not PVC, what changes in a fibreglass hull with increased laminate thickness, and what to ask of a cabin RIB before you buy one.

Questions about the range

Frequently asked questions

The questions that reach our office when someone looks at the range for the first time: what they cost, what is included, which size without a licence, how long the wait is. With the answer we give on the phone. One at a time: open one and the other closes.

How much does a NAVY RIB cost?

NAVY RIB prices start from: NAVY 4.80 from €13,924 + VAT (€16,987.28 including 22% Italian VAT) · NAVY 5.50 from €15,900 + VAT (€19,398.00) · NAVY 6.00 from €17,987 + VAT (€21,944.14) · NAVY 6.60 from €28,800 + VAT (€35,136.00) · NAVY 7.60 from €33,000 + VAT (€40,260.00) · NAVY 9.50 Cabin from €86,900 + VAT (€106,018.00). All prices are without the engine. Tell us which size you have in mind and we will prepare the complete bill.

How many NAVY RIB models are there?

There are six NAVY RIBs on the price list: the NAVY 4.80, 5.50, 6.00, 6.60, 7.60 and 9.50 Cabin, from 4.80 to 9.80 metres overall. All of them have a fibreglass hull with increased laminate thickness and tubes in ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo. The seventh name, the NAVY P40, is a power catamaran of about 12 metres, on the way and not yet on sale.

Are the prices on the website with or without VAT?

The NAVY prices you see on the website are net: they exclude VAT and the engine, which is chosen separately according to how you want to use the boat. Next to each price you will also find the amount with Italian VAT at 22% already worked out. It is the same form we use in our written quotes: starting price, + VAT, engine not included.

What is standard and what is optional?

On the NAVY RIBs up to the 7.60 the standard equipment is: a console complete with gauges, a roll bar with navigation lights, stern swim platforms, a steel rear ladder and standard upholstery. The Luxury upholstery is an extra. We quote the options item by item on the model you have chosen; the exact standard list, item by item, is on each model's page.

What is the largest RIB that works with a 40 hp?

With a 40 hp outboard we recommend going up to 6 metres: in the NAVY range that means the 4.80, the 5.50 or the 6.00. In Italy, within 6 nautical miles of the coast, an outboard of up to 30 kW, that is 40.8 hp, within the displacement limits set by law, can be driven without a boat licence; beyond 6 miles a licence is always required.

Which is the largest NAVY RIB, and which is the only one with a cabin?

The largest NAVY RIB is the NAVY 9.50 Cabin: 9.80 metres overall, 3.20 metres in beam, design category B, up to 15 people, twin outboards on the transom. It is also the only NAVY with an interior cabin with berths and a separate heads. Its list price starts from €86,900 + VAT, engine not included.

What is the difference between the NAVY 6.00 and the NAVY 6.60?

The NAVY 6.00 measures 6.00 by 2.50 metres, carries 10 people and takes up to 150 hp; with a 40 hp it can be driven without a licence within 6 nautical miles, within the limits of Italian law (30 kW, that is 40.8 hp, and the displacement). The NAVY 6.60 is the intermediate size that joined the price list on 9 September 2026: we send you its full technical data sheet on request, without giving it the numbers of other models. Its price starts from €28,800 + VAT, engine not included.

Which engine makes do you fit?

Honda, Yamaha and Mercury are the outboards we fit to NAVY RIBs, all three on an equal footing. You choose the make, together with the power. The list price never includes the engine: we quote it together with the boat, so you have the final figure in front of you, and if you already have an outboard we assess it against the model you have chosen.

How long does it take from order to delivery?

For a NAVY in stock, within 7 working days. For a made-to-order RIB up to the 7.60, about three months from order confirmation. For the NAVY 9.50 Cabin we set the lead times together on order confirmation. Ask us which NAVY boats are ready today, because it changes often.

Do you have a dealer in my area?

No: we handle NAVY sales directly ourselves, from Aprilia. You do not have to look for anyone locally: everything goes through us, from configuration to delivery, anywhere in Italy. The showroom is in Aprilia (Latina), between Rome and Latina, sea trials take place in Nettuno by appointment, and if you are far away we start with a video call.

Can it be customised? Colours, teak, cushions, special modifications?

Yes: we build our boats to order, so we are happy to take on modifications. You choose the hull colour (white or black), the tube colour, synthetic teak in EVA or natural teak on request, and Standard or Luxury upholstery. With the 3D configurator you can put your boat together and send us the configuration. Special requests too, such as space for diving cylinders or a relocated console, we study with the workshop.

How is a NAVY built? What tubes does it have? How many years of warranty?

We build every NAVY to order, one at a time, with no assembly line. From the 4.80 to the 7.60 the tubes are in ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo, 1.3 mm Hypalon-neoprene; on the NAVY 9.50 Cabin, too, they are ORCA by Pennel & Flipo in Hypalon-neoprene. The hulls are in fibreglass with increased laminate thickness. We are so confident in our work that we offer up to 15 years' warranty.
