TAV. 02 — The sea off Rome
From the mouth of the Tiber
to Torvaianica
The sea off Rome begins where the ring road ends: between Fiumicino and Ostia lies the densest boating hub in Lazio, with the Porto turistico di Roma, the Porto di Fiumicino, the Darsena Traiano, the Porto Canale, the small harbours of Ostia and Il Faro, and the pontoons of the boatyards and sailing clubs. Further south the coast stretches out, low and sandy, down to Torvaianica and Anzio, where boats set off for the Pontine islands. It is a sea used all year round, and it asks for a boat that can leave on a Saturday morning and be back at the pontoon by evening, no arguments.
This is the sea we design the NAVY for: a deep-V hull in fibreglass with extra-thick laminates, tubes in ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo in Hypalon-neoprene, a centre console, a roll bar with navigation lights. Six sizes, from 4.80 to 9.80 metres overall, and one way of selling them: directly, ourselves, from Aprilia (LT), between Rome and Latina.
