The Pontine coast is the home sea of Naviglia Yachts: the showroom is in Aprilia (LT), between Rome and Latina, and we do the sea trial at Nettuno, by appointment. Further south, on the coast facing the Circeo promontory, is the rental base: it is in the province of Latina, near San Felice Circeo, and the exact boarding point is given to you when the booking is confirmed, together with the departure time.
On the Pontine coast the rental has a single, simple formula: 12 hours, from morning to evening, with the 250 hp NAVY 7.60 for those who hold a boating licence and with the 40 hp NAVY 6.00 for those who do not. The Circeo promontory, visible from the whole coast, is the natural landmark of a day at sea: the exact route, the permitted zones and the hours are set together at the handover, according to the Harbour Master's ordinance.

12 HOURS · ONE FORMULA · HANDOVER AT THE BASE

The centre console and the helm seat
INSTRUMENTS · SEAT WITH GRAB RAIL · NON-SLIP SYNTHETIC TEAK
The centre console comes complete with instruments, and the helm seat has a grab rail to hold on to under way. The deck is in stain-resistant, non-slip synthetic teak: you climb aboard wet from a swim and move safely from bow to stern.

NAVY 7.60 · 250 hp · licence required
The 7.60, for licence holders
7.60 metres overall, 2.89 of beam, up to 15 people: the 7.60 is the NAVY that takes the whole family and friends along. On the Pontine coast it is rented for 12 hours: it is the formula for those who want the long day, with the 250 hp astern and a 280 litre fuel tank. A boating licence is required: we ask for it when you book.

NAVY 6.00 · 40 hp · no licence required
The 6.00, for everyone else
6.00 metres by 2.50 of beam, up to 10 people and the 40 hp that keeps the boat below the licence threshold. On the Pontine coast the 6.00 is rented for 12 hours: with the 40 hp you stay within 6 miles of the coast, licence-free, and the day is more than enough for the promontory and the beaches. At the handover you receive the essential helm instructions in writing.
It is the most frequent request from anyone who wants a RIB for a day on this coast: licence-free. Italian law is clear and depends not on the boat but on the engine: within 6 miles of the coast no licence is needed if the outboard does not exceed 30 kW, that is 40.8 hp, and stays within the engine-capacity limits set by the Recreational Boating Code. The NAVY 6.00 with the 40 hp sits inside these limits, and that is why it is the boat we rent to those who hold no licence.
When you helm the boat yourselves it is a bareboat charter: before departure we hand you the essential helm instructions in writing, as the Italian Recreational Boating Code requires, and we show you in person the minimum you need: the throttle, the wheel, the anchor, the ladder, the return. Anyone who wants to learn properly, before buying, finds here a good way to start.

How to book
One message, and the day is set
FIG. 05 — NAVY 7.60 moored in harbour: quilted tan seats, roll bar with bimini, lettering on the tube.
Write to us with the day you have in mind, how many of you there are and whether you hold a licence: we reply with the boat available, the rate and a written confirmation, where you find the boarding point, the departure time and the rental conditions. For summer weekends it is worth writing a few days ahead.
And since this is our home sea, a rental day is also the most natural way to get to know a NAVY before buying one: the showroom is in Aprilia (LT), between Rome and Latina, and we do the sea trial at Nettuno with our own NAVY 7.60 powered by a Honda 250.
