Italian brand · NAVY RIBs · direct sales · made to order, one at a time

An Italian boating brand, young and clear about what it does: we design and fit out the NAVY rigid inflatable boats, six sizes from the NAVY 4.80 to the NAVY 9.50 Cabinato, and we sell them directly to the people who will take them to sea. Here is our story, stage by stage, with the dates we can document: nothing more, nothing invented.

Who we are, on one page

One brand, six sizes,
a single signature

Naviglia Yachts is the Italian boating brand of Michelessi Corporation Srl, based in Aprilia (LT), between Rome and Latina. It designs and fits out the NAVY range of rigid inflatable boats: six models from 4.80 to 9.80 metres overall, with a fibreglass hull built to increased thicknesses and tubes in ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo, in Hypalon-neoprene. Every NAVY is built to order, one at a time, powered by a Honda, Yamaha or Mercury outboard of the customer's choice, and delivered to the harbour of their choice or straight to their home.

A few stages,
all documented

We are a young brand and we do not pretend otherwise: here you will find only the dates that sit in a register, in a document or in a photograph. The course draws itself as you scroll; the last buoy is still in shadow.

This photograph is one of the stages of our story: the white NAVY 7.60, powered by a Honda 250, at anchor in a stern three-quarter view on a late-summer day. It is not a set: it is the boat we use for sea trials, with the bimini folded and the scrub-covered hills behind. This is where the real images on this website come from, and where we would like your story to start too: by stepping aboard.

The luxury of boating
lies in the details

Boating is not just moving across the water: it is feeling it, living it, handling it with elegance. That is why we do not build batches for a warehouse. Every NAVY is built to order, one at a time, with no assembly line: you choose the tube colour among the 29 of the ORCA fabric, white or black fibreglass, one of the 24 shades of teak-effect decking, the Standard upholstery or the quilted Luxury line in 14 colours. Then the logo is embroidered on the backrest and engraved in the deck: the boat is yours before it ever touches the water.

We sell directly, with no local dealers and no intermediaries. That means the person who answers the phone on day one is the same person who hands you the boat and who answers you the year after. It means a written quote, item by item, with the price + VAT, the engine you have chosen and the transport cost already included. And it means you see the final figure before you decide, not afterwards.

The design and the fitting-out of every NAVY are ours; the materials we choose from people who have made them for a lifetime, and we name them. The tubes are in ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo, a French company with over a hundred years of experience, in 1.3 mm Hypalon-neoprene from the NAVY 4.80 to the NAVY 7.60. Hull, deck, stern platforms and console are in fibreglass built to increased thicknesses, on moulds designed by Italian engineers and designers. At the stern, Honda, Yamaha or Mercury: the brand is your choice. Because true luxury is not about appearance: it is about feeling.

Chapter 01 — The design

Before the boat,
there is a drawing

Moulds designed by Italian engineers and designers · shipyard vision

A NAVY starts as a line on paper: the deep-V hull that cuts the wave, the run of the tubes, the position of the console, the lockers under the sundeck. The moulds from which hull and deck are taken are designed by Italian engineers and designers, and every measurement you read in the data sheets comes from those drawings, not from an estimate.

In the image, the NAVY 6.00 in transparency: beneath the deck you can see the structures nobody will ever see in person, and which matter to us as much as the upholstery does. Care for the details, visible and invisible, is the phrase we started with: here you can see what it means.

FIG. 07 — Shipyard vision: the NAVY 6.00 in X-ray view, with the structures beneath the tubes and the deck.

Chapter 02 — The materials

Fibreglass below,
ORCA fabric all around

Increased thicknesses · marine gelcoat · 1.3 mm Hypalon-neoprene

Hull, deck, stern platforms and console are in fibreglass built to increased thicknesses, protected by marine gelcoat, hand-laminated or infused, in the white or black you choose. Around them runs the tube: ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo, Hypalon-neoprene on a polyester core, 1.3 mm thick from the NAVY 4.80 to the NAVY 7.60; the NAVY 9.50 Cabin has ORCA Hypalon-neoprene tubes too.

Every tube is cut, bonded with two-part adhesives, hand-welded with double or triple seams where the fabric works hardest, then pressure-tested and visually inspected before it goes onto the hull. The sea makes no concessions: that is why we check every single piece, not a sample.

Chapter 03 — The fitting-out

We engrave the name
under your feet

Teak-effect decking in 24 shades · embroidered upholstery · stainless steel

The fitting-out is the part you touch every day, and we do it ourselves, configuration by configuration. The decking is synthetic EVA teak, chosen among 24 shades with a coloured seam; solid natural teak is fitted on request. On NAVY models up to the 7.60 you get as standard the console complete with instruments, the roll bar with navigation lights, the stern platforms, the stainless steel boarding ladder and the standard upholstery; the diamond-quilted Luxury line is an option.

The compass rose with the word ITALY, which is our symbol, is engraved in the decking and embroidered on the seat backrest: it is not a sticker, it does not peel off. It is the simplest way we have of saying that this boat carries our signature.

PLATE 10 — Who works with us

The NAVY carries our name.
The best come aboard.

We do not build outboards, we do not weave Hypalon, we do not design chartplotters: for these three things we rely on people who have done them for decades, and we write their names in the quote. Yamaha, ORCA Pennel & Flipo and Garmin are among our partners; Honda and Mercury are, together with Yamaha, the outboards we fit on the NAVY range. The engine brand is your choice: we tell you how it behaves on the water on the size you have in mind.

Wherever on this website you see a vision of how a fit-out will look, we say so beneath the image; wherever you see the real sea, we say that too. With us you always know what you are looking at.

PLATE 13

How you buy a NAVY, from us

Six steps,
one single person

Our catalogue puts it in a sentence we like: we are not just builders, we are a point of reference for everything that concerns your boat. In practice it works like this.

  • 01 · Choosing the model. You tell us how many people you carry, where you keep the boat, whether you hold a licence and what you like doing at sea: the right size follows from there. The advice is ours, the choice is yours.
  • 02 · Made-to-order configuration. Tubes, fibreglass, decking, upholstery, options and engine: you compose your NAVY on the real samples, or with the configurator, and we put it down in black and white.
  • 03 · Sea trial. Before signing, you step aboard: how it enters the wave, how it turns, how dry it stays is understood on the water, not on a screen. Book the trial and we set the day together.
  • 04 · Quote and order. A written quote with the price + VAT, the chosen engine and the transport. Payment by bank transfer: deposit on confirmation, stage payments during production, balance on delivery.
  • 05 · Production. Stock boats within 7 working days of order confirmation; made to order, about 3 months up to the 7.60; for the NAVY 9.50 Cabin lead times are agreed on order confirmation.
  • 06 · Delivery. To the harbour of your choice or straight to your home, outside the Lazio region and on the islands too: the transport cost is already written in the quote, it does not turn up afterwards.

Questions about the company

Who we are,
in brief

The questions you ask about us, even before the boats: who is behind the brand, since when, where, with what guarantees. One at a time: open one and the other closes.

Who is Naviglia Yachts?

Naviglia Yachts is the Italian boating brand of Michelessi Corporation Srl, based in Aprilia (LT), between Rome and Latina. It designs and fits out the NAVY rigid inflatable boats, six models from the NAVY 4.80 to the NAVY 9.50 Cabinato, and sells them directly, with no dealers. Coming next is the NAVY P40, a power catamaran of about 12 metres.

How long has Naviglia Yachts existed?

We are a young brand. The company was incorporated on 10 September 2024, the website has been online since 21 February 2025 and the current price list dates from 9 September 2026. We do not claim decades we do not have: we tell the stages we can document, one by one, in the timeline on this page.

Who designs and who builds the NAVY boats?

The design and the fitting-out are ours: the moulds are designed by Italian engineers and designers, and every NAVY is configured and fitted out to order, one at a time. The tubes are in ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo, a French company, in Hypalon-neoprene; hull, deck, stern platforms and console are in fibreglass built to increased thicknesses, white or black. We name our suppliers, because they are a guarantee for you too.

Where can I see the NAVY boats in person?

Book your visit, or go straight for the sea trial: we set the day and the way together, by phone or on WhatsApp. We are in Aprilia (LT), between Rome and Latina; if you live far away, you start with a phone call and come once your ideas are clear. For sea trials we have our NAVY 7.60 powered by a Honda 250.

Can I buy a NAVY if I live far from Aprilia?

Yes. We have no local dealers and you do not need one: sales are direct and we follow them ourselves, from the first phone call to delivery, wherever you are in Italy. The boat reaches the harbour of your choice or your home, and the transport has its price in the quote, before you sign and not afterwards.

What warranty do NAVY boats have?

Up to 15 years' warranty on NAVY boats: it is also written in the terms of our price list. We go through it together with the quote, item by item, so you know beforehand what to expect and whom to call after delivery.

Why buy a RIB from Naviglia Yachts?

For five concrete reasons: the boat is built to order, one at a time; you buy directly from the people who design it, with a single point of contact from day one to delivery; the materials are declared by name and thickness, 1.3 mm ORCA fabric and fibreglass built to increased thicknesses; you choose the engine among Honda, Yamaha and Mercury; and before deciding, you try it at sea.

Do you also rent out NAVY boats?

Yes: we rent NAVY boats in Costa Smeralda and on the Pontine coast. It is a way to try a RIB for a whole day before buying one, or instead of buying one. The bases, the boats and the conditions are on the rental pages.
