The NAVY 6.00 in two lines

Six metres, ten people,
and a table at the bow

The NAVY 6.00 is the 6.00 by 2.50 metre RIB by Naviglia Yachts: centre console, bow sun pad, stern sofa under the roll bar, up to 10 people in design category C. It takes a Honda, Yamaha or Mercury outboard from 40 up to 150 hp; with a 40 hp outboard it may be used without a licence within 6 miles of the Italian coast. The list price starts at €17,987 + VAT, engine not included. We design and fit it out ourselves, to order, one boat at a time, and we sell it directly to the person who will use it.

not a metre wasted

At the bow, the lounge: three cushions and the table

SECTIONED SUN PAD · EVA BOW STEP · BOW TABLE ON REQUEST

The bow sun pad is split into three cushions and closes the tip of the boat; ahead of it, the EVA-covered step for climbing aboard over the bow. In the middle the round table can rise: it is the first thing people notice on the 6.00, which is why our menu calls it «the NAVY with the bow table».

The console in the middle: two people walk around it

CENTRE CONSOLE COMPLETE WITH GAUGES · FORWARD-FACING CONSOLE SEAT

The centre console is compact and complete with gauges, with a tinted windscreen and stainless grab rails. In front it carries the quilted seat with the logo, behind it the helm bench: on either side two wide walkways remain, and the planked deck runs from bow to stern without a step.

At the stern: the sofa, the roll bar, the platforms

REAR SEAT WITH CUSHION AND STAINLESS BACKREST · ROLL BAR WITH NAVIGATION LIGHTS · FOLDING STAINLESS LADDER

The rear seat has a cushion and a stainless steel backrest; above it, the roll bar with the navigation lights, which also stows the bimini. On either side of the engine well sit the two covered platforms, and the folding stainless ladder for climbing back aboard after a swim.

CATEGORY C · UP TO 10 PEOPLE · TUBES Ø 52 CM

Two and a half metres of beam, with 52 centimetre tubes: stability at anchor starts with the footprint. It is also 5 centimetres under the 2.55 metre road-legal width: the 6.00 travels on its trailer like a car with a caravan, with no special permits.

HONDA · YAMAHA · MERCURY · from €17,987 + VAT · engine not included

With a 40 hp you go out licence-free within 6 miles; with a 115 or 150 hp the 6.00 becomes a boat for long days, ten aboard. You choose the brand; we decide the power together when we prepare the quote.

TAV. 05 — End of the day · Naviglia vision

The sun touches the horizon beyond the bow and the 6.00 sits still on a glassy sea. In the foreground the tube ends, round and full as on the 7.60, with the grey rubbing strake wrapping around them and NAVY 6.00 on the side; in the middle a silver Honda BF100: the outboard is not included as standard, because you choose it; above, the roll bar with the all-round light on top and the bimini stowed. It is the hour for heading home, and the 135-litre tank comes as standard on the 6.00.

TAV. 06 — Chapter 01 · The hull

The deep-V hull,
seen through the deck

Fibreglass with increased thicknesses · deep-V hull · spray rails

Here the 6.00 is drawn as an X-ray: beneath the deck and the tubes you can read the inner moulding, the lockers, the base of the console and the legs of the roll bar. Hull, deck, stern platforms and console are fibreglass with increased thicknesses, laminated by hand or by infusion in moulds designed by Italian engineers and designers, and finished with a marine gelcoat that protects against sun, salt and scuffing. You choose the colour: white or black.

The hull is a deep V, with spray rails running aft: it cuts the wave instead of slamming it. Looked at from under the bow, the central keel line opens like an arrowhead. Because the quality of a hull is built centimetre by centimetre, and you feel it the first time it meets the water.

TAV. 07 — Chapter 02 · The tubes

1.3 mm ORCA tubes,
52 centimetres across

ORCA Pennel & Flipo · Hypalon-neoprene (CSM/CR) · 1.3 mm

The tubes of the 6.00 are made of ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo, Hypalon-neoprene, 1.3 mm thick. The outer CSM layer withstands sun, salt and hydrocarbons without fading; the inner neoprene CR layers hold the air and keep out the water; between them, a polyester core gives the fabric a tensile strength above 500 daN per 5 centimetres. The diameter is 52 centimetres: it is the edge you sit on, the shoulder that keeps you dry.

Every tube is cut, glued with two-part adhesives, hand-welded with double or triple seams where the joints work hardest, then pressure-tested and inspected before it goes onto the hull. As standard you have it in three colours, Notte Profonda, Pietra Bianca and Blu Navy; the other 26 in the ORCA range are ordered with the boat.

At the bow, a table
laid on the sea

Bow sun pad · bow table on request · covered bow step

The bow sun pad is sectioned: two can lie down, four can sit around the round table, which rises from the deck and is an option on the price list, the bow table at €930 + VAT. The bow step is shaped and covered, with the chain guide in the middle; below it, the reinforced anchor locker, standard.

Those who keep the boat at anchor all summer add the anchor windlass with roller (€552 + VAT) and the shower with a 50 litre tank (€738 + VAT). The planked deck you see in the shipyard visions is the standard EVA teak-pattern decking, with the logo engraved in front of the console.

At the stern, the roll bar
and the water a step away

Stainless roll bar with navigation lights · folding ladder · rear seat with stainless backrest

As standard the roll bar is stainless steel, with the navigation lights on top; if you prefer it in fibreglass, matching the hull, it is on the price list (fibreglass roll bar with navigation lights, €937 + VAT), and the stainless bimini that hooks onto it costs €1662 + VAT. Under the roll bar, the rear seat with its cushion and stainless backrest faces forward.

To get into the water and back out there is the folding stainless ladder, fitted as standard; those who want a second way up add the ladder behind the tubes (Easyenter, €648 + VAT). The courtesy lights and the underwater lights (€960 + VAT) light up the stern in the evening; the ski pole for towing water toys costs €340 + VAT. The outboard is not included: you choose it.

On the 6.00 the console is white: a spoked stainless wheel with a knob, a round radio, two analogue gauges, a grab rail on the left. The late-afternoon light draws the shadow of the wheel. The centre console comes complete with gauges as standard: for those fitting the 115 or 150 hp we recommend the hydraulic steering for 75-150 hp with all-stainless wheel, €4428 + VAT, which takes the strain off your wrist when the engine pushes. Those who want to drive seated higher move the console and add the driver's seat (€743 + VAT).

As standard the 6.00 comes with the Standard line upholstery, in smooth marine leatherette, treated for sun, salt and mould and easy to clean. What you see here is the Luxury line: diamond quilting with heat-sealed seams, stain- and mould-resistant, in 14 colours; it is an option, the Luxury diamond-quilted cushions at €980 + VAT.

Between the grey cushions of the sun pad and the base of the console, the planked decking carries the engraved Naviglia Yachts logo; the raking light brings out the relief, and the white tube with its handles runs along the right. The standard deck is EVA teak-pattern foam, stain-resistant and non-slip even when wet, lighter and softer than wood: it needs no oiling or sanding, just a rinse. You choose it in 24 shades, with black or grey contrasting seams; those who want real wood order the natural teak deck, solid 8 to 12 mm planks, at €5076 + VAT.

This boat has the white fibreglass roll bar, the option that matches the hull; the standard one is stainless steel. The NAVY 6.00 lettering stands in relief on the Pietra Bianca tube, one of the three standard colours: changing the tube colour costs €530 + VAT, and the rubbing strake with 4 extra handles along the tubes €1014 + VAT.

TAV. 11 — Engine options for the 6.00

One outboard, from 40
to 150 hp

Honda, Yamaha and Mercury are the outboards we fit to the NAVY range. The engine is not included in the list price and is chosen separately, from 40 up to 150 hp; with the 40 hp no boat licence is required within 6 miles of the Italian coast and within the legal limits (30 kW / 40.8 hp and engine displacement). For the other power ratings there is no list price: the engine is quoted together with the model you choose. We fit it, test it and deliver it with the boat, covered by its manufacturer's warranty.

The 6.00 can also be bought without an engine: if you already have one, we assess the match on the model, using its plate data. If you choose it with us, the quote gives you several engine proposals, so you have the final figure in front of you.

TAV. 12

No boat licence

The largest NAVY
you can drive without a licence

In Italy the licence depends on the engine, not on the boat. Within 6 miles of the coast you may navigate without a boat licence if the outboard does not exceed 30 kW (40.8 hp) and the displacement limits set by law, which for a four-stroke outboard are 1,000 cc: that is why the 40 hp is the choice of those without a licence, and with the 40 hp we recommend boats up to 6 metres. The 6.00 is therefore the largest NAVY in the range for those who want to go out with ten people and no licence: you only need to be 16 to helm a boat of this size within 6 miles. Beyond 6 miles a licence is always required, whatever the engine.

  • With the 40 hp: ten people, within 6 miles, no licence. It is also the engine the 6.00 is fitted with for rental.
  • With the 115 or 150 hp: a boat licence is required, and the 6.00 becomes a boat for long days and island hops.
  • For rental companies and sailing schools: the 5.50 or the 6.00 with the 40 hp are the right models for licence-free hire; we prepare the quote in the company's name.

Before and after the 6.00

Half a metre less,
or one more

The 6.00 sits in the middle of the range: below it the 5.50, with the same centre console and one seat fewer, above it the 6.60 and then the 7.60, the boat we use for sea trials. If you are not sure about the size, step aboard all three: the right size is understood by stepping aboard, not from the price list.

Questions about the 6.00

Frequently asked questions

These are the questions we get about the NAVY 6.00, with the answer we give over the phone: price, licence, engine, people, colours, trailer, lead times, warranty. One at a time: open one and the other closes.

How much does the NAVY 6.00 cost?

The NAVY 6.00 costs from €17,987 + VAT · engine not included, that is €21,944.14 incl. 22% Italian VAT. Prices are net: they exclude VAT and the engine, which is chosen separately according to how you intend to use the boat. The price includes all the standard equipment on the price list; the outboard, the electronics, the options and transport are written into the quote, item by item, so you have the final figure in front of you.

Can the NAVY 6.00 be driven without a licence?

Yes, with a 40 hp engine. In Italy, within 6 miles of the coast you may navigate without a boat licence if the engine does not exceed 30 kW (40.8 hp) and the displacement limits set by law, 1,000 cc for a four-stroke outboard. With the 40 hp we recommend boats up to 6 metres, and the 6.00 is precisely the largest NAVY that fits this choice. Beyond 6 miles, or with the 115 and 150 hp, a licence is always required.

Which engine do you recommend for the 6.00?

It depends on how you go to sea. With the 40 hp you go out licence-free, ten aboard, along the coast; with the 115 or 150 hp the 6.00 does the long days and the island hops, ten aboard, and a licence is needed. The maximum rated power is 150 hp. Honda, Yamaha and Mercury are the outboards we fit to the NAVY range: you choose the brand, and for each power rating the quote gives you several proposals, with fitting and testing included.

How many people does it carry, and what does category C mean?

The NAVY 6.00 is rated for 10 people, in design category C: a boat designed for winds up to and including force 6 and a significant wave height up to and including 2 metres. The number of people and the category are those of the builder's plate and the owner's manual, which you receive with the boat. For rental use Italian law sets a maximum of 12 people in any case, so the 6.00 stays within the limits with all ten seats.

Is the bow table standard?

No: the bow table is an option on the price list, €930 + VAT. As standard, at the bow you have the sun pad with the complete Standard line upholstery, the reinforced anchor locker and the EVA teak-pattern decking. The table rises from the deck between the cushions and comes out in one movement when you want the whole sun pad free: in person you know at once whether it is for you.

Can it be trailered? What licence do I need to tow it?

Yes. The 6.00 is 2.50 metres wide: 5 centimetres under the 2.55 metre road-legal width, so it travels on an ordinary trailer, with no permits for oversize transport. The price list includes the boat trailer for 6 metre boats, €4800 + VAT. The licence needed for towing depends on the total mass of trailer and boat, which with 600 kg dry plus engine and fuel has to be worked out case by case: we tell you in the quote, with the right trailer for your car.

Which colours can I choose?

The ORCA fabric tubes in 29 colours: three standard, Notte Profonda, Pietra Bianca and Blu Navy, the others on request with the «tube colour change» item, €530 + VAT. The fibreglass of hull, console and roll bar in white or black. The EVA teak-pattern decking in 24 shades. The Standard upholstery as standard, or the quilted Luxury line in 14 colours. The catalogue proposes eight ready-made combinations for the 6.00; the real colours are chosen on the swatches, in person.

How long does it take to get one?

The 6.00 is built to order: about 3 months from order confirmation. Every boat is built to measure, one at a time, with no assembly line, so for the season it is worth confirming early: we do not promise dates we cannot keep, we tell you how things really stand when you order. If at that moment we have a NAVY ready, delivery is within 7 working days. We deliver to the harbour you indicate or directly to your home, and the cost of transport is written into the quote.

What warranty does the NAVY 6.00 have?

Up to 15 years' warranty. The engine is covered by its manufacturer's warranty, with servicing in the network of the brand you have chosen. On the ORCA fabric of the tubes Pennel & Flipo gives a five-year contractual warranty. The person who advised you on the first day is the same person who answers you after delivery: that is what direct sales mean.
