PLATE 02

The short answer

How much does
a NAVY cost?

A new NAVY RIB costs from €13,924 + VAT · engine not included, for the smallest in the range, the NAVY 4.80, 4.80 metres long. Moving up in size you come to the NAVY 5.50, from €15,900 + VAT · engine not included, and the NAVY 6.00, from €17,987 + VAT · engine not included. The flagship, the NAVY 9.50 Cabin, is priced from €86,900 + VAT · engine not included. These are the prices of the list in force since 9 September 2026, and they always carry two phrases alongside them: plus VAT, and engine not included.

We write the price this way because it is where misunderstandings begin. The 22% VAT is added at the end, and in the table below we have already worked it out for you. The engine is not included because you choose it, by power and by brand, according to how you want to use the boat: we quote it together with the hull, so you have the final figure in front of you. The trailer, too, if the boat travels by road, stays out of the price: it is a separate accessory, for every model.

The bill,
item by item

First item: the hull at list price

NAVY 4.80 from €13,924 + VAT · engine not included · SIX SIZES

This is the price of the boat with its standard equipment: fibreglass, ORCA tubes, console, upholstery. It is the figure you find on every model page, and the whole bill starts from there.

Second item: the engine, chosen separately

YAMAHA · MERCURY · HONDA · YOU CHOOSE THE POWER AND THE BRAND

The engine is not in the price list because it changes with use: a 40 hp to helm without a licence within 6 miles of the coast, twin outboards for the flagship. We quote it together with the hull, with several proposals.

Third item: the options, one by one

NATURAL TEAK · LUXURY UPHOLSTERY · SUN AWNING · COVER · TUBE COLOUR

Every option has its own list price, which differs from one size to the next. You choose what you really need, and it appears line by line in the quote.

Fourth item: the trailer for your size

FROM €3690 + VAT · A TRAILER FOR EVERY SIZE

If you keep the boat at home or take it on holiday, the trailer is in the price list: every size has its own, with its own price plus VAT, and for the 6.60 we quote it on request.

Fifth item: transport and delivery

TO THE PORT YOU CHOOSE · OR TO YOUR HOME · COST WRITTEN INTO THE QUOTE

We deliver throughout Italy, and the cost of transport never comes as a surprise: we write it into the quote, next to the other items. Then VAT is added, and the bill is complete.

PLATE 05

Item 1 · The hull at list price

What the price
already includes

The list price is not the price of a bare hull. On the RIBs up to the 7.60, the console complete with gauges, the roll bar with navigation lights, the stern swim platforms, the steel rear ladder and the standard upholstery all come as standard. The Luxury upholstery, diamond-quilted, is an option. The NAVY 4.80, for example, comes with the 60 litre fuel tank, the automatic bilge pump, the repair kit and the EVA foam synthetic teak deck, stain-resistant and non-slip; the NAVY 7.60 adds the helm seat with grab rail and retractable table, and the 280 litre tank.

The tube fabric accounts for a large part of a RIB's value, even if you cannot see it in the price. From the 4.80 to the 7.60, NAVY RIBs have ORCA Hypalon-neoprene tubes by Pennel & Flipo, 1.3 mm thick; on the NAVY 9.50 Cabin too, the tubes are ORCA by Pennel & Flipo in Hypalon-neoprene. Hull, deck, stern platforms and console are in fibreglass with increased thicknesses, in white or black. There are three standard tube colours: Deep Night, White Stone and Navy Blue. And we build every boat to order, one at a time, with no assembly line. Up to 15 years' warranty.

  • From the NAVY 4.80 to the NAVY 7.60. Console with gauges, roll bar with navigation lights, swim platforms, steel ladder and standard upholstery are included in the price. Everything else is chosen from the list of options for your model.
  • NAVY 6.60. The same standard specification applies as on the RIBs up to the 7.60. The mid-size model of the NAVY range. Data sheet being updated — details on request. Options are quoted on request, with no list prices.
  • NAVY 9.50 Cabin. The price is always written as “from”. The inside cabin with berths and a separate heads comes as standard; the rest of the specification we define together with you in the quote.

PLATE 06 — Item 2 · The engine

Why the engine
is quoted separately

Yamaha · Mercury · Honda · the brand is your choice

A NAVY can be bought with or without an engine. The engine is chosen separately, by power and by brand, and we quote it together with the boat: that way you have the final figure in front of you. There is no engine price in the list because it changes with the power, the brand and the rigging, and because two customers with the same boat may want two different engines. The outboards we fit to NAVY RIBs are Yamaha, Mercury and Honda.

Power depends on size. The NAVY 4.80 takes up to 70-80 hp, the NAVY 5.50 up to 115 hp, the NAVY 6.00 up to 150 hp. On the NAVY 7.60 we recommend 200/250 hp, with a single engine up to 350 hp; the NAVY 9.50 Cabin carries twin outboards, with the power agreed at the quote.

The engine also decides whether you need a licence. Under Italian law, within 6 miles of the coast you can helm without a boating licence if the engine does not exceed 30 kW, that is 40.8 hp, and the displacement limits set by law: that is why the 40 hp outboard is the choice for those without a licence, and with the 40 hp we recommend boats up to 6 metres. If you already have an engine, we assess the match on the model you choose: we need the details from its rating plate.

Item 3 · Options and customisation

The options,
with their prices

Options are the item that changes the bill most between two boats of the same size, and that is why we list them with the price alongside. Below you will find the items you ask us about most often, taken from the price list of the NAVY models with fixed-price options: NAVY 4.80, NAVY 5.50, NAVY 6.00 and NAVY 7.60. All amounts are in euros plus VAT.

The same option costs a different amount from one model to another because the quantity of material changes: a natural teak deck on a 7.60 covers many more square metres than on a 4.80. On the NAVY 9.50 Cabin the price list includes a change of tube colour, at €1633 + VAT, and 4 extra speakers for the stereo, at €2237 + VAT. For the NAVY 6.60, options are quoted on request.

Items 4 and 5 · Trailer and delivery

From the factory

The last two items are the ones most often forgotten: how the boat reaches you, and how you move it around afterwards. They follow precise rules, and some of them are set by the Italian Highway Code.

The trailer

A trailer
for every size

The trailer is a separate accessory, with its own list price plus VAT: for the NAVY 4.80 there is the 5 metre trailer at €3690, for the NAVY 5.50 and the NAVY 6.00 the 5.5 and 6 metre trailers, both at €4800, for the NAVY 7.60 the 8 metre trailer at €8228, and for the NAVY 9.50 Cabin a trailer at €12228. For the NAVY 6.60 the trailer is quoted on request.

FIG. 07 — Deep-V hull of the NAVY 6.00 seen from below the bow, spray rails and grey fender.

On the road

The 2.55 metre
rule

Under Italian law, art. 61 of the Highway Code sets the maximum width of a vehicle with its load at 2.55 metres. The NAVY 4.80, 1.82 metres wide, the NAVY 5.50, 2.35, and the NAVY 6.00, 2.50, stay below it. The NAVY 7.60, 2.89 metres, and the NAVY 9.50 Cabin, 3.20, exceed it: on the road they become an abnormal load, which art. 10 makes subject to authorisation from the authority that owns the road or from the Region. For towing, what counts is the maximum authorised mass written on the vehicle registration document: with a category B licence you can tow a trailer of up to 750 kg, or a heavier one if the combination stays within 3,500 kg; for a combination of up to 4,250 kg an additional practical test is required, and beyond that you need a BE licence (art. 116).

FIG. 08 — Naviglia vision: the NAVY 5.50 at anchor in a cove. We deliver it to the port you choose or to your home.

Delivery

To your port,
or your home

We deliver to the port you choose or straight to your home, anywhere in Italy, and we write the cost of transport into the quote. There is no single rate, because it changes with the size of the boat and the distance: that is why we calculate it for your case, before the order. We also handle delivery to Sardinia ourselves, taking care of everything it needs.

Lead times are part of the bill. For a boat in stock, within 7 working days of order confirmation. For a RIB built to order, up to the 7.60, about three months from order confirmation. For the NAVY 9.50 Cabin, we set the lead times together at order confirmation.

Launching

The lines
to get in writing

A serious quote leaves no questions open. Before signing, check that a few items are written out clearly: who launches the boat and where, the safety equipment you need for the navigation you will actually do, the trailer if you need one, transport to your port, and VAT. In our quotes every choice appears item by item, with its price plus VAT and the engine you have decided on: if a line is missing, ask us for it.

PLATE 10

A worked example

A 4.80,
fully costed

To see how a bill reads, let us take the smallest in the range and add two items from its price list: the 5 metre trailer, to take it from home to the sea, and the stainless steel sun awning, for shade. It is a worked example, not an offer: the engine stays out, because you choose it, and transport is written into the quote for your own case.

VAT is calculated at the end, on the total: 22 euros for every 100. That is why next to every list price you also find the amount with VAT already worked out, and why our prices always say “plus VAT”. In the bill below, VAT is calculated on the sum of the three items.

How to pay,
and how to finance it

Payment follows the boat in three steps: a deposit on order confirmation, stage payments during production, and the balance on delivery. The documents are the deposit invoice, the sale contract and the delivery report, and payment is by bank transfer. The boat can be financed, including with nautical leasing: we discuss it together with the quote. If you have a RIB or a boat to change, we are happy to assess your used boat as a trade-in: we need the year, where it is kept and a few photographs of the tubes, the deck and the engine.

FinancingTrading in your used boat

PLATE 11

After the purchase

The costs
set by law

The purchase price is paid once; some costs come afterwards, and part of them is imposed by law. We will not write invented figures for you: the policy is priced by the insurer, the berth by the marina. Instead we tell you what the items are, and where it is written that they must be paid. The rules below are Italian law.

  • Insurance. In Italy a motor pleasure craft may not navigate without third-party liability insurance (art. 123, para. 1, Private Insurance Code). The obligation also applies to detachable engines of any power: the policy follows the engine and covers the boat it is fitted to (art. 123, para. 3; art. 41, para. 2, Recreational Boating Code).
  • Safety equipment. On board you carry the equipment listed in Annex V of Ministerial Decree 146/2008, as replaced by Ministerial Decree 133 of 17 September 2024, in force since 21 October 2024: “in relation to the navigation actually undertaken”; the life-saving appliances must be sufficient for everyone on board, crew included (art. 54, para. 1, Ministerial Decree 146/2008).
  • No registration for a natante. Under Italian law, a RIB with a hull of up to 10 metres is a natante, a small craft: it is exempt from registration in the central electronic register (Archivio telematico centrale), from the navigation licence and from the safety certificate (art. 27, para. 1). If you wish, it can be registered voluntarily, and it then comes under the rules for an imbarcazione, a registered pleasure boat (art. 27, para. 2).
  • The licence, if you need one. Within 6 miles, below 30 kW (40.8 hp) and within the displacement limits, it is not required. Beyond 6 miles, or with a more powerful engine, it is: a cost to add to the bill before you choose the power.
  • Berth and storage. A berth in the water, dry storage and winter storage are charged by each marina according to its own rates. With a trailer, the boat can also stay at your home.
  • Fuel and servicing. They depend on the engine you choose, on the running hours and on the engine manufacturer's manual: one more reason to choose the power calmly, together with us.

The questions you really ask us

Prices,
in nine answers

These are the questions about price that reach us by phone and on WhatsApp, with the answer we give in person. One at a time: open one and the other closes.

How much does a new RIB cost?

A new NAVY RIB costs from €13,924 + VAT · engine not included, for the NAVY 4.80, that is €16,987.28 incl. 22% Italian VAT. In between come the NAVY 6.00, from €17,987 + VAT · engine not included, and the NAVY 7.60, from €33,000 + VAT · engine not included. The flagship, the NAVY 9.50 Cabin, is priced from €86,900 + VAT · engine not included. On top of the price of the boat come the engine, the options you choose, the trailer if you need one and transport, written into the quote.

Are NAVY RIB prices inclusive or exclusive of VAT?

The NAVY RIB prices you see on the site are net: they are exclusive of VAT and without the engine, which is chosen separately according to how you want to use the boat. Next to every price you will also find the amount with 22% VAT already calculated. To work it out in your head, VAT adds 22 euros for every 100 of list price.

Is the engine included in the price of the RIB?

No. The price of the RIB does not include the engine, because the engine is chosen according to your needs: power, brand, rigging. If you like, we will prepare the full figure for the RIB plus engine straight away, with several engine proposals. The brands we fit to NAVY RIBs are Yamaha, Mercury and Honda.

What does a “turnkey” RIB mean?

A turnkey RIB means receiving the boat ready to go to sea: hull with standard specification, outboard, console with wheel and steering, electrical system with battery, battery isolator and navigation lights, fuel tank, upholstery, ladder and bilge pump. Tell us which model you have in mind and what kind of outings you plan: we will prepare the full figure, with the most suitable engine if you wish, so you have the final amount in front of you straight away.

What comes as standard in the price of a NAVY?

On NAVY RIBs up to the 7.60, the standard equipment includes the console complete with gauges, the roll bar with navigation lights, the stern swim platforms, the steel rear ladder and the standard upholstery. The Luxury upholstery is an extra. We quote the options item by item on the model you have chosen. On the NAVY 9.50 Cabin the interior cabin with berths and a separate heads comes as standard; the rest of the fit-out we define together in the quote.

Is the RIB trailer included in the price?

The trailer is a separate accessory, for every NAVY model. On the price list the trailer for the NAVY 4.80 costs €3690 + VAT, the one for the NAVY 6.00 €4800 + VAT, and the one for the NAVY 7.60 €8228 + VAT. We put the right trailer for your size into the quote.

How much does it cost to transport a new RIB?

We write the cost of transporting a NAVY RIB into the quote, because it changes with the size of the boat and the distance. We deliver to the port you choose or straight to your home, Sardinia included. Beyond 2.55 metres of width, that is for the NAVY 7.60 and the NAVY 9.50 Cabin, road transport in Italy is an abnormal load and needs an authorisation (arts. 10 and 61 of the Italian Highway Code).

How do you pay for a NAVY RIB, and can it be financed?

A NAVY RIB is paid for in three steps: a deposit on order confirmation, stage payments during production, and the balance on delivery, by bank transfer. The documents are the deposit invoice, the sale contract and the delivery report. The boat can also be financed, including with nautical leasing: we discuss it together with the quote.

How much does it cost to keep a RIB after buying it?

The running costs of a RIB after purchase depend on where you keep it, on the engine and on how much you go out, which is why we do not publish a total. Under Italian law one item is compulsory everywhere: third-party liability insurance, required even for a detachable engine of any power (art. 123 of the Private Insurance Code). Berth and storage are charged by each marina; with a trailer, the boat can stay at home.
