Year · where it is kept · photos of tubes, deck and engine

If you already own a RIB or a boat and want to move up to a NAVY, you are not starting from scratch. We are glad to assess your used boat as a trade-in. We need the year, where it is kept and a few photos: that is where the conversation begins.

PLATE 02 — Trade-in, in a few lines

Yes, we assess
your trade-in

Our trade-in service is simple to describe: if you already own a RIB or a boat, of any make, and you would like a new model, we look at your boat carefully and make you a proposal towards the purchase of your new NAVY. We write the proposal next to the quote, so you see straight away the difference you need to cover. We do not give figures sight unseen and we do not guess them over the phone: a serious assessment comes from what you send us.

We sell directly, and that shows in the trade-in too: the person who looks at the photos of your used boat is the same person who advises you on the right size, prepares your quote item by item and follows you through to delivery. No middlemen between your old boat and your NAVY.

Four steps,
and a serious figure

The year, the place and a few photos

ON WHATSAPP · THROUGH THE CONTACT FORM · IN PERSON

Tell us what year the boat is, where it is kept today (afloat or ashore, and in which area) and send us the photos. That is all the first step needs: we look at the boat's and the engine's papers later, if the proposal suits you.

The tubes, up close and in full daylight

BOTH SIDES · THE SEAMS · THE VALVES

Photograph the tubes up close, in daylight, on both sides: the seam band, the rubbing strake, the valves, any repairs. These are the photos that tell us most, because on a RIB the tube is the first thing anyone looks at, new or used.

The engine, with its data plate

COWLING · DATA PLATE · MAKE, POWER, SERIAL NUMBER

One photo of the cowling and one of the data plate: make, power, serial number. A new NAVY is sold with or without an engine: if you want to keep yours, we assess the pairing on the model you choose, starting from exactly those details.

The proposal, next to the quote for the new boat

PURCHASE · PURCHASE WITH TRADE-IN · FINANCED PURCHASE

With the photos in front of us we reply with a proposal and set it next to the quote for the NAVY you have chosen, item by item. If you wish, we compare for you a straight purchase, a purchase with trade-in and a financed purchase on the same model.

What to photograph · real photograph

Three subjects,
and a few details

You do not need catalogue photographs: you need clear photos, taken in daylight, of the whole boat and of the three subjects up close. Touch the points on the stern of the NAVY 7.60: they are the same ones we look at when your photos arrive.

The four subjects, one by one · real photographs

Look
up close

The photographs you see are of NAVY boats: they show you where to point the lens on your own RIB. Each card says what to photograph and why we need that photo.

Tubes

The skin
of the boat

Photograph the fabric up close, where the light rakes across it: you can see the seams, the glued bands, the scuffs, the repairs. One photo per side, one of the bow and one of the valve. On a NAVY the tubes are ORCA fabric by Pennel & Flipo, Hypalon-neoprene: whatever yours are made of, they are the first thing anyone looks at on a RIB.

Deck

Open
the lockers

One photo of the cockpit from above, one of the seats, one of the decking and one of the console with its instruments. Then lift the lids and photograph the lockers too: the bottom of a locker tells you how a boat has been kept. On the NAVY 7.60 you see here the lids are open for exactly that reason.

Engine

The data plate,
more than the cowling

The cowling tells us the make; the data plate tells us the rest: model, power, serial number. Photograph it so it can be read, and if the engine has an hour meter photograph that too. A NAVY is sold with or without an engine: if you like yours and want to keep it, we assess the pairing on the model you choose. Otherwise Honda, Yamaha or Mercury: the make is your choice.

Equipment

Everything
that is on board

Windlass, anchor and chain, helm electronics, bimini, trailer, safety equipment: one photo of each, if you have them. They complete the picture and save us calling you back to ask. The photos do not need to be beautiful: they need to be true, taken in daylight, with no covers on.

PLATE 06

After the assessment

Then comes
the new one

Direct sales: from configuration to delivery the customer deals with Naviglia Yachts in Aprilia (Latina), with no local dealers in between. The trade-in is one line of the quote, written once; the rest is the same path as anyone buying a NAVY: first the right size for the way you use the sea, then the configuration, then a quote with the model's price + VAT, the engine you have decided on, the options item by item and the cost of transport.

Payment follows three steps: a deposit on order confirmation, stage payments during production, the balance on delivery, by bank transfer. The part left after the trade-in can also be financed, with a loan or with marine leasing: on request we compare for you a straight purchase, a purchase with trade-in and a financed purchase on the same model.

  • Six sizes, from the 4.80 to the 9.50 Cabin: we choose it together, based on how many people you carry, where you keep the boat and whether you hold a licence.
  • Made to order, one at a time. Tube colour, white or black fibreglass, teak, upholstery, options and engine: every NAVY is built to order, one at a time.
  • With or without an engine. Honda, Yamaha or Mercury: the make is your choice and we quote it together with the boat. Or keep your own, if the pairing works on the model you choose.
  • Up to 15 years' warranty on the new NAVY.
  • Lead times. Stock boats within 7 working days of order confirmation; made-to-order boats up to the NAVY 7.60 about 3 months from order confirmation; for the NAVY 9.50 Cabin lead times are agreed on order confirmation.
  • Delivery. To the harbour you name or straight to your home; the cost of transport is written in the quote.

The photos on your phone,
the NAVY under your hands

The assessment starts from the photos, but choosing the new boat is done with your hands: step aboard, touch the tube, open the lockers, compare the tube and teak samples in real light. Come and see them in person, then try them at sea. Bring the photos of your used boat on your phone: we look at them together, in front of the NAVY you have in mind.

The questions you really ask us

Trade-in and used boats:
the questions

These are the questions that reach our office from people who already own a boat and want a new one: about the trade-in, about keeping the engine, about how to pay and when the new boat arrives. With the answer we give in person. One at a time: open one and the other closes.

Do you assess my RIB or my boat as a trade-in?

We are glad to assess your used boat as a trade-in. To give you a serious figure we need the year, where the boat is kept and a few photos: the tubes, the deck and the engine with its data plate.

What exactly should I photograph?

The tubes up close and on both sides, the deck (cockpit, seats, decking, lockers open) and the engine: the cowling and the data plate with make, power and serial number. If you have them, photos of the trailer, electronics and equipment complete the picture. Daylight photos, with no covers on.

Do I have to bring the boat to you to have it assessed?

No: for the first assessment the year, the place where it is kept and the photos are enough. If we then need to see it in person, we agree on how and when together. In the meantime you can come and see the NAVY that will take its place.

I already have my own engine: can I buy the RIB alone?

Yes, the RIB is sold with or without an engine. Whether your engine suits the model you choose is something we assess: we need its data plate details.

Is there long-term rental, as with cars?

It is not a formula we have on our price list. We can, however, compare for you a straight purchase, a purchase with trade-in and a financed purchase.

How do I pay?

In three steps: a deposit on order confirmation, stage payments during production, the balance on delivery. The documents are the deposit invoice, the sales contract and the delivery report. Payment is by bank transfer.

Can the purchase be financed?

Yes: the boat can be financed, including through marine leasing. We discuss it together with the quote.

How long does it take from order to delivery?

For a boat in stock, within 7 working days. For a made-to-order RIB up to the 7.60, about three months from order confirmation. For the NAVY 9.50 Cabin we agree the lead time together on order confirmation.

Your used boat,

The year, the place and a few photos: that is where we start, and you find the proposal written next to the quote for your new NAVY. The tube is there to be touched, the colours are chosen on the samples, the sea is there to be tried. What boat do you have now, and what size do you have in mind?
